Is Liverpool Passport Office Open On Saturdays?

Yes, opening times for Saturday in Liverpool are 9am-3pm.

Please also note that due to the limited availability at weekends, Saturday can be the busiest day for urgent passport appointments, so please ensure that if you need an urgent passport and are only able to attend at weekends due to other commitments that you book in advance, we would recommend at least 1-2 weeks prior to needing your passport or your travel date.

Is Liverpool Passport Office Closed?

The office is open and provides a range of services for passport renewals, and urgent passports, however it is closed from 6pm on Week Days (Mon-Fri) and 3pm on Saturdays, and it is closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Can I Visit Liverpool Passport Office?

Yes you can visit the office in person, please note however that you must first make a pre-booked appointment by calling the passport booking line. You will not be permitted to attend the office without your appointment reference number, due to the levels of security at this government building.

The appointment service is available for the following urgent passport services:

• One day passport service (Pick up 4 hours after attending your appointment).


• One week fast-track passport service (Sent to you via secure courier within 7 days of your appointment).

Please note: appointments are on a first come, first serve basis and we often recommend booking them as soon as possible as many slots are only available 2-4 days in advance of todays date (due to high demand, especially during peak time for the passport office).

What If Liverpool Has No Appointments Left?

If you local passport office does not have any availability within your travel time, we would recommend checking the nearest passport office location, as they have 8 national passport office locations, and another office may have more appointments available. It may require you to travel for an extra 1-2 hours journey to attend, however this may then allow you to obtain your new passport sooner than if attending your local office.
