Urgent Passport Applications

If you need your passport urgently there are a number of ways to get this but please note that if you are travelling to your destination within four weeks we recommend visiting one of the Regional Passport Offices as they offer a range of one-day and one week premium delivery services.

If this is your first adult passport it can take up to 6 weeks to get a passport and in most cases the Passport office will require that you attend an interview as this process is a much more thorough process the simply renewing an existing passport

After performing a range of passport applications ourselves we have found that the timescales for both new passports and renewals of passports in the uk can differ depending on how you apply, the common methods including the ones we had used are as follows:

• First Passport (including passport interview process)
• Application Submission Service - Our service can be faster to complete due to reduced load on our systems!
• Booking a Fast-Track One week service for Individuals under the age of 16

Urgent Passport application – (what you need to know about if your travelling in less than two weeks)

When making our application we used the standard service that states it can take up to 3 weeks (however we did receive ours within 2 weeks if you need your passport urgently we would definatley recommend you apply in person at one of UK Passport Offices & the services on offer:

• Fast-track one week via post • Premium one day via post

We did not use this service personally but we have found out that if you wish to make an appointment for one of these methods you will need to do it up to 1 week prior to travel. The regional office opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Saturday 9.00am - 3.00pm

Please note: To save you distress and hassle on your journey to the passport offices we strongly recommend that you do not book holidays or travel arrangements with your travel agent until you have received your passport.
